Are you dressing for the promotion that you want to receive? Then, why not dress for the life that you want to lead? I want to leed a softer, romantic lifestyle. A life of ease. I want to create a better relationship with myself. When romanticize your wardrobe, you add a touch of romance or nostalgia to your clothing choices. It's a way of creating a look that feels dreamy and whimsical. I am still defining how my wardrobe will look, but I am starting by getting organized and creating boards that embody my new romanticized color pallet and style. I typically have boards for all of my ideas. This helps me keep everything in one place so that I can pinpoint the things that don't fit the look I am trying to create. Apps like Pinterest are great tools to help create boards around your new style goals. One of my goals is to incorporate more colorful patterns into my wardrobe. I remembered a time when everything in my closet was vibrant. I loved color, but the more entrenched I became in corporate America, the more boring I became. It was difficult to be my authentic self in that environment. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that anymore! Romanticizing your wardrobe means approaching clothing as more than just a functional item to wear, but as a way to enhance your life and step into a more authentic version of yourself.

How can romanticizing your wardrobe impact your life?

We all have days when we don’t feel great about ourselves, but we don't have to look that way. Often grabbing your favorite pair of pants or putting on a beautiful dress can help you fake it until you make it.
